Insurance Information

All UAS operations conducted by DARK UAS LLC are covered by a $1 million liability insurance policy, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and industry standards. This coverage provides financial protection in the event of unforeseen incidents related to commercial drone operations.

What Our Insurance Covers

  • Property Damage: Coverage for accidental damage to third-party structures, vehicles, or property.
  • Bodily Injury: Protection against liability claims if a third party is injured during flight operations.
  • Equipment Liability: Covers damages caused by mechanical failure or operational errors.
  • Privacy & Data Security: Limited coverage for unintentional privacy breaches or data leaks related to aerial imagery.
  • Legal Defense: Provides legal protection in the event of a liability claim arising from UAS operations.

Limitations & Exclusions

While DARK UAS takes every precaution to ensure safety and compliance, it is important for clients to understand the limitations of our insurance coverage:

  • Intentional Misuse: Insurance does not cover damages resulting from reckless or illegal activities.
  • Unauthorized Airspace Violations: Coverage does not extend to flights conducted in restricted or unauthorized zones without FAA approval.
  • Client-Owned Property: Damages to property owned or operated by the client may require additional coverage.
  • Acts of War/Terrorism: Insurance does not cover damage caused by war, cyberattacks, or acts of terrorism.
  • Extreme Weather & Natural Disasters: Incidents resulting from uncontrollable weather events (e.g., hurricanes, wildfires) may be subject to exclusions.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for ensuring that their requested UAS operations comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and airspace restrictions. Any additional insurance requirements, such as higher liability coverage or specialized policies for high-risk operations, must be discussed in advance.
